It's not just about the glitz of old Hollywood or how women would sell their dignity, their bodies, their whole selves just to maintain power, accumulate wealth and presumably become legendary. It's about the hidden truths beneath the cracks, the ones the media never suspected, or at the very least, never wanted to look into beyond their own agenda.
But here's what actually got me.
Taylor Reid breaks down something that sounds simple but hits different when you actually sit with it, sometimes you need to grab opportunities by the throat. Not wait for them to knock politely. Not pray they find you. Grab them.
And I say this with deep abhorrence for dishonesty, I really do. But sometimes? If the shoe fits, do yourself a goddamn favour and wear it. If an opportunity presents itself, no matter how big, how small, how uncomfortable, how inconvenient... make it work for you. Figure out the ethics later. Figure out the how later. Sometimes you just say yes and sort out the rest as you go.
The world doesn't give things. You take things.
Now please do yourself a favour and get the book. You'll thank me, and Evelyn, later.😁😊
